Woo hoo!

Reminds me of a trip I took in Thailand that included a raft (and not an inflatable one, I mean tree trunks lashed together) and an elephant as means of transportation ;)

Thanks for the tip on the trains. I forwarded it on to Timmy.

Sorry you were sick. Hope all is better now.

KerryAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3899471944502142305.post-49650070597672358242009-04-08T23:08:00.000-07:002009-04-08T23:08:00.000-07:00Ahhhh, that reminds me. It cost nearly 100 Euros for a return ticket to Venice, a two hour 40 min journey one way, per person. If we'd bought the ticket more than 7 days prior it would have been 15% less, 30 days plus more in advance 60% less. We just found out about that. The gondola ride was a great hit with Ila, as was the water taxi, the fire boat, the vaporetto, the hundreds of bridges, the boat spotting etc. We could have done with spending more time there, but an early morning train and an evening train allowed us to get a feel. I would have seen more if I hadn't spent a couple of hours running to and from the toilet.Teparyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18185795159993871901noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3899471944502142305.post-76840713476879454482009-04-08T19:02:00.000-07:002009-04-08T19:02:00.000-07:00Gondola ride in Venice? we're so doing that when w...Gondola ride in Venice? we're so doing that when we come visit ;) Really the European adventure with the preschool set is all about the transportation...How far away is Venice?

KerryAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
